Leanna Archer - 13 year old young entrepreneur of Leanna's Inc.

Since her media exposure, millions want to know about the young black girl who produced a hair product line. It's Leanna Archer and her net worth is steadily growing into the millions (estimated $3.2 million).

In another article, I provided details about young entrepreneur competitions and where to find them.  I also mentioned why they’re so popular nowadays. Leanna Archer a 13 year old hair products young entrepreneur is one of those reasons. If you think young entrepreneurs get their start in high school or college dorm rooms alone, think again. This young lady started a profitable hustle by creating her own formula for hair care products for courser textured hair. We covered Leanna in a previous post, but wanted to elaborate more on here present status.

Some women with thicker harder to managed hair, use quick fixes like oiling their scalps on a regular basis with natural oils like shea butter, but are they smarter than this 13 year old who started a whole line of natural products targeted at African American women’s hair textures? They’re no less smart, only that she’s far more driven. You could call her today’s Madame CJ Walker. For those who don’t know, Madame CJ Walker a daughter of former slaves, was considered the first African American woman to become a self-made millionaire by marketing the first hair straightening comb and inventing “Madam Walker’s Wonderful Hair Grower”, a scalp conditioning and healing formula for African American women.

Leanna Archer's company currently grosses over $100, 000 a year, but she actually started her hair and body care products when she was 9 years old in Central Islip, Long Island.  Drive and motivation of that caliber at such a young age is rare and gets notice quickly. She’s been featured on, numerous Television and magazine interviews, and travels the speaking circuit doing inspirational and motivational speaking. Now who wants to stop hanging out at the mall, dealing with adolescent drama, and social networking all day to go start their own hair products business? If that’s you, you might just use this young lady as your template to get started.

Currently at age sixteen, Leanna Archer's net worth is reported to be about $3.2 million dollars and growing.

My god she's only 13 and already has her own line of hair care products?? Thats pretty amazing for such a young girl. Whats even more impressive though is that she started this at age 9. My little sister is more into Bratz dolls and movies than she is being an entrepreneur, but then again most young girls are. This young girl is to be commended for reaching success so early. :)

Once again the young internet generation doing there thing and getting paid way more before people like me born in the 80's are. I love the fact that she keeps it in the family. This way she can build her brand for a very long time and not worry about some greedy investor taking over the brand and the profits before she can realize it's full potential.

Go on with your bad self girl, making money so soon. I'm not a teen genius or anything but boy do I wish I had half the business genius as some of these younger heads nowadays. Almost getting ready to graduate college next year and my future so far is hoping to get hired by some company who wants my graphic design skills. Why didn't I just find a good hustle like this little girl.

When you have talent and smarts, use it. It doesn't matter what age or how early you start, just don't let it go to waste especially doing things you don't love. This Leanna Archer is doing the right thing, if she's making a profit so young.

Maybe she should also open her own chain of specialty salons and offer these hair and body products as the main styling treatment for her clients. She has a lot of time to grow so much bigger why not go for it.

Where was I when talent was being handed out. wo I'm so in awe and jealous at the same time at some of these young heads making so much money on their own time and their own dime.

This girls product may be just what I need. I mean look at her hair, it's got so much body and healthiness to it. I'm biracial and have very curly hair which takes more work to manage. When I wash and straighten it, it looks really great and is so very long. But maybe Leanna's hair product is exactly what I need to keep that beautiful body and prevent any damage or itchiness. Hmmm...

Where were the business geniuses from my my generation in the 80's. Geez, these teenagers and the internet have turned business 101 upside down. It's not about rich kids from rich families owning it all anymore. Now more people from less fortunate backgrounds are doing their thing like Leanna here. Yo go girl and don't stop, the sky's the limit when you're young and full of motivation.

Say what?? 13 years old and making over a hundred thousand dollars a year in revenue? So let me get this straight, I spent 8 years in elementary school, four years in high school, and am now two years into college and this young girl is already making more money than I'll even be making after my first year of graduating? I really did something wrong here. She obviously know the secret to success way more than I do.

Amazing that my masters degree in education is only paying me 80 thousand dollars right now. Ha HA, the education system and it's rewards in this country are a joke. I should've become an entrepreneur and started my own business like this little girl.

I've heard of her before and just watched a youtube video of her being interviewed by MSNC and Fox News. She really has her market carved out and speaks very well for her age. I think her parents work very close with her because they were there on the set when she was being interviewed by the News journalist.

Don't be surprised if in a few years she's already worth ten to 20 million dollars. With her interviewing skills, charming appeal, and to be honest, a great product that targets the right people, she'll do just fine. Great job little Leanna.

The type of hair products Leanna is selling does very well to stimulate new hair growth in women with african american texture hair. Whatever her secret formula is, it works well. I've personally tried it and it works for me.

She certainly does look happy. But then again if I was thirteen and making thousands of dollars I'd have something to be happy about everyday. nice going girl.

Young people are taking over the world. That's the trend now, they're leaving their mark on many things before they're even old enough to vote or drink. Must be something in the water. better technology, or better parenting. But whatever it is, it's working and people like leanna archer will probably never have to worry about employee reviews or kissing up to the boss for a raise.

What an amazing and goal oriented young woman Leanna is. Keep up the good work young lady, you have many other young women who admire and look up to you. And I too do believe Madame CJ Walker would be so proud to see what you are doing.

It seems like she's well trained in marketing her products. I watched her television interviews and she is so well spoken for such a young girl. She handled each question about her finances and her marketing plan so eloquently, her parents must be proud, I would be if that was my little sister or daughter. We need more young African American girls like this to show others that they too can rise above the stereotypes and become successful like an Oprah or Tyra Banks. Well done Leanna, don't stop doing what you do. Your secret hair formula is working out quite well for you and your family.

You know I never even thought of the close similarities between this young girl and Madame CJ Walker. But it's true, and to be Acknowledged by a direct relative of the Madame CJ Walker on this article is such an honor Leanna. If you don't know much about her you should look her up, she's a very famous figure in African American history and you could probably call her the Oprah of her day. Your hair products are great to use, I've personally tried them and my favorite is Leanna's Hair Dressing with Shea Butter. I live in West Palm beach Florida and it's hot most of the year. I have very dry hair and I first got word of your product after seeing an article about you on Forbes website. I decided to check your products out and was impressed that this stuff actually came from a 12 year old, but was even more impressed with the results after I tried it for myself. Whatever your secret formula is, I like it as long as it is safe and healthy.

You must be super driven and inspired to accomplish such a huge goal like Leanna Archer. I think it's safe to say most 9 to 13 year olds aren't thinking about creating their own hair products, well at least not real ones. But congratulations to this young lady for doing this. College MBA's and PHD's got nothing on her, she's already making more money than they are.

Way to go Leanna, you're an awesome example of what little girls should aspire to be. Instead of simply waiting for their prince charming to come rescue them.
