This topic was burning a hole through my brain over the holiday break and I could not wait to share it with you all. Although the sound of it is quite boring I thought your Return On Investment (ROI) was important for you to learn about.
When I first heard about ROI I think I was attending a meeting for the EDGE and I had no idea what it was. Mind you I have had my own business since 2003 and I’ve probably heard it before working with great business decision makers, but in classic Priya style I am always more focused on giving to others. But through time and surrounding myself with business minded people I have grown into the business world. So with that being said, no startup business person is perfect and you are not expected to know everything right off back. Life is all about growth and educating yourself is important. Entrepreneurrookie is here to give you a heads up and share business tools with you so you can be a better person and run a better business.

I must admit, I love watching nature shows, especially ones on wild African Safari. It might be the fact that people get intrigued watching fierce predators ripping cunning prey to shreds whether rooting for or against them. I tend to root for the predators. They're nature's grim reapers and population control specialists. Contrary to what most people believe it's much harder being a successful predator than being a thriving "helpless prey." Most top predators' attempt to catch prey usually end in failure, so the more frequent they hunt the better their chances at success.
For loyal Erookie visitors, commentors, and curious lurkers who read my startup business advice and wonder, where does Wade get his inspiration and information from? I'll tell you. It's mostly from 13 years of starting and succeeding or failing at different businesses in Jersey, New York, and Miami and an entrepreneur father in a third world country.
Remember that Tina Turner song, What's Love Got to Do With It? I sure do, it was one of my favorite songs back in the 80's at a mean 10 years old. Yeah I know, what does a 10 year old boy know about love and heart break. Well I didn't know anything about love and heartache, but I sure liked Tina Turner's big hair and sultry sensational pop music. 25 years post 1985
Street business hustle isn't a topic covered often by most startup business experts because frankly they don't know much about it or never experienced it firsthand. Back in 1999, I started my first company Double i Media which created custom CDs and urban wear. Such a venture required getting the word out around New York City and Northern Jersey where I lived, so I did just that.
Watch your back because you might get SLAPPed if you're a small company or individual fighting the man or big corporations. If you've never heard of the word you're not alone. Many brave entrepreneurs, bloggers, and plain old fed up folks get a rude awakening from this corpoarate terror in the form of a lawsuit. I won't lie, I'm hearing about it for the first time today and it's pretty disturbing once you learn the tactic used and its intended goal. SLAPP means: Strategic lawsuit against public participation.
Business association’s make a lot of money off of you while you are trying to make some money for your business. So what’s the catch? Why should you attend business networking events? As long as I have been running my own business it has taken me a while to warm up to the business association world. First for territory I have never entered before (granted I have taught large classes of volunteers and been a part of boards), second because you have to really be outgoing to make the most out of networking in a business association, and third, you have to find the right association for you and your business. Once you get comfortable with the idea of building local relationships, you'll start using these
There's something to be said about being loud, good looking, and popular. No I'm not talking about reality show no-talents, or Beverly Hills socialites famous for absolutely nothing. I'm referring to being that one guy/gal in a room of hustlers and gogetters that everyone naturally gravitates toward. The one that can convince you to buy a rock. It all starts with a magnetic personality, charisma, the right dress wear, and a big first impression.
With all the stuff business experts put out it's so easy to forget a simple fact. New somewhat naive entrepreneurs materialize everyday like new babies. For those still hazy on steps to launch a for-profit or
