Useful social media marketing include viral videos, social networks and community blogs If you have big dreams, you've probably heard the overused cliche, "build it and they will come". This inspire you to take a leap of faith and spin your first business idea into a start-up reality. Next you tell a few friends, send out email blasts, and tell them to tell a few friends about your big business and website launch. Now you sit patiently watching your computer waiting for the millions to flock to your website, but there's one big problem, only about 15 or 20 people showed up to your site.

So what happened?!! Well it's time for a reality check. You're just not that popular or better yet, nobody and no search engine really know about your site or what it does yet. So your website's house warming party is a bust. That's OK though, here's what you need to do to get your start-up name and service out there.

Get your online marketing hustle going and tap into the user base of Social media and Search Engine Optimization, better known as SEO. There are 4 major social media portals to promote your new product or service to that include Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Youtube. There are 4 major search engines to submit your site to and optimize it's content for including Google.com, Bing.com, Yahoo.com, and Ask.com. Finally there are 6 major social bookmarks to submit your sites content to so others can be directed to your website. These include Digg.com, Delicious.com, Stumbleupon.com, Reddit.com, Google Bookmarks, and Google Buzz.

You can potentially reach millions of users from these online marketing channels to increase awareness and traffic to your fledgling website. The social networks combined boast close to a billion online users. See which users would most be interested in the type of service or product you're providing and network with them and their extended networks. Before anybody's going to find your site on any search engine, you must first submit the website address and a sitemap to the main search engines and wait for your content to get indexed. Another way to get your site noticed right away by the search engines is to submit your pages to the social bookmarks. Most content from a new website tend to get found and indexed many times faster than normal if it's first submitted to the social bookmarks.

If you're marketing a product or service today without the use of Social media, that's like using the telephone land line and direct mail to promote your service instead of texting and social networking. The best part about these marketing portals is that they're all free. The possibilities to get exposure and people interested in your new business and website are enormous. Facebook boast 700 million users, twitter boast 200 million users, linkedin has 100 million people everyday.

Don't sit around and wait for the flood of people to come to your unknown site, you have to go to them first through these social media and search channels and then they'll keep coming back to you. Good luck networking.

Man it sounds like I got my work cutout for me. I just started a new website for my online business and I heard that it has to be optimized for search engines but I didn't realize I'd have to connect with all these social portals to get people to recognize it. I thought you just submitted it to Google once and that was it. Thanks for the info bro this was a definite time savor in searching for marketing tools.

The only thing that sucks about all these marketing free tools is the waiting game, especially from the big names like Google. They ted to crap on new websites and don't even show them in the main search engine results when someone types something related to the sites. But hey I can't complain, they are free tools and everybody else use them, so I just have to make them work for ne. I can't wait to see the results after Start doing some serious SEO.

Good info for new website owners guys. I really like the marketing resources you used. Many owners are naive to this stuff and just build a website and expect it to work magic. There's work involved in promoting it just like any other type of business product or service.

You know another good way to get your new hustle off the ground is to promote it on Youtube. Video promos are the best way to go now. When people see you it makes a world of difference. It's like they know you even though they don't, because they can place a face and a voice with the product or service. Human beings are picky about who they trust. That's why some products and services do way better than others. If the person is promoting something but hiding behind words, people tend not to use their stuff as much because they don;t feel a trust or connection with them.

watch out that you don't get any penalties when you submit your website to the search engines. Everything shoild be clean for search engine optimization. No duplicate content, no hidden text, no paid links, no cross linking from other websites on the same domain or ip adress, and no weird redirecting to other websites. They will get you good for that and your page will hardly be visible in any search engine after that, so play it clean when it comes to SEO.

The amount of people using social media as a promotional tool has way surpassed people using radio and television ads. It's free, they get exposure to tons more people, and you're guaranteed some result no matter how small. Online videos and social profiles has changed the way people do business. Entire startups companies and people pushing hobbies were born and operated online. High school teens and college kids are all over youtube making thousands from their revenue sharing youtube channels, and other services that offer the same thing. The world of business and making lots of money while you're young is not a dream anymore, it's the real deal.

How come when someone is selling or hawking stuff in the New York City subways they call them street hustlers and pedlers, but when someone do it from their home internet pc and ebay then they call them entrepreneurs. It's all the same thing, the only difference is that people can see your face in person on the street and subways, but you're totally anonymous online, most of the time anyway.
