Just ran my numbers through the worksheet and it looks like my current net worth is in the green by about $11750. I can't complain with that. It's definitely nothing to retire on but I'm still young and hopefully in another five years when I turn 41 I'll have a significantly larger net worth.

My net worth is actually better than I thought. I'm nowhere near rich but it's good to see that I'm currently in the green. It's weird but what you actually think was your previous net worth really isn't until you use something like this to add in every single thing you owe (even a 300 loan to a friend) and everything of value you own. Think for example of furniture. if your furniture or jewelry have been appraised officially appraised for a decent amount of money, count that value as a part of your assets in your net worth calculations. Everything of value really counts here.

I was really happy to calculate my current net worth until the calculator showed me what it actually was. Needless to say very disappointing. Well I guess I just need to save more and lower those stupid debts from credit cards and my old college loans. College is good for an education, but a serious rippoff in respect to cost

Really great calculator, I'm glad you guys updated it to be a little more detailed. I was getting a little excited there with my net worth until I added my ridiculously high student loans. Geez when will we get a break from those things. Ten years out of college and I still can't shake those loans.

I'm happy to say my net worth is slowly but steadily climbing. I took a crazy beating at the start of the recession like everybody else, but Luckily I kept my job, spend the bare minimum, rarely went out and saved as much as I could. I'm no six figure girl or millionaire yet but hey you never know, one day with good spending habits it will happen.

I wish had saved more in my twenties, id be a rolling in 6 figures right now. I wasted too much money spending on frivolous things, and who would have seen this recession coming ten years ago. Man there's something to be said for being frugal.

Just what I need, a tool to remind me just how broke my pockets are. I cannot wait for this recession to be over. When I bounce back on my feet I know I'm gonna come back full force, reprioritize my spending habits and maybe start a business to make my own money instead of relying on some company for my bread and butter.

Your net worth is your assets minus your debts. It's just that simple. it measures how well you are doing financially each year, or if you're a big spender or big money maker, how well you are doing each month. Most of us aren't doing too well these days because of the economy, but if you save a little here or better yet just cut back on unnecessary spending then you and your family will be a little better in the next several years.

Every time somebody ask me about my net worth, honestly I'm dumb founded about it, and I really don't know how to figure it out right away. Most people fall into this same category of personal financial ignorance as myself. I can tell you this much, my net worth is not much. I owe a lot of bills and finance and lease stuff so that alone I'm sure might have me in the red.

Some wealthy people like Donald Trump falsely over-inflate their actual net worth to appear richer than they are. I really don't see the point, you loose a lot of respect and business when people actually find out you're just full of hot air.
